Overview

A payer pays one price: the selected quote’s source amount. The difference between that and what the recipient receives is the settlement operator’s charge. It covers the network fees for moving the funds and Atum’s fee. Nothing is added on top.

Who pays what

To see the price before you pay, get a price quote and set max_source_amount from it.

Atum’s fee

Atum sets its fee per token on each network, and the settlement vault stores it. As of 28 October 2026 it is 0.02% (2 basis points) of the deposited amount, capped at $250 per payment. Check it on chain for the current value.
  • The fee is fixed when your funds are deposited. A later change does not affect a payment already in the vault.
  • The vault takes it from the settlement operator’s payout when it releases the deposit, so it is already inside the quoted price.
  • A payment that is refunded pays no fee: the refund returns the full deposit.

Check the fee on chain

On EVM, Tempo and Tron, the vault returns the fee for a token from getTokenConfig(token). Vault addresses are on Contract addresses, and token addresses on Supported assets. On a block explorer:
  1. Open the vault on the network’s explorer, for example the vault on Etherscan.
  2. Under Read Contract, call getTokenConfig with the token’s address.
  3. Read the result:
With Foundry’s cast (USDC on Ethereum; use any Ethereum RPC URL):
The vault’s source code is verified on the EVM and Tron explorers. Independent reviews of the contracts are on Security reviews.

In your records

The difference between what the payer paid and what the recipient received is the settlement operator’s charge, and Atum’s fee comes out of it. To record each part separately, see Reconciliation.
